Check out our Bake Off Hall of Fame!

The Great British Bake Off first graced our screens back in 2010. The new series will begin soon, so let’s take a look at some very special bakers that we’ve seen over the years.

John Whaite

John was the winner of series 3, where we saw him ditch his potential career in Law, and instead chase his life-long passion of baking. Since then, he’s worked as a chef on several primetime TV shows, released cookery books, and even performed on Strictly Come Dancing!

Candice Brown

Known for her impressive bakes and iconic moments, including throwing a cake out of the window and making a gingerbread replica of her parents’ pub, the former PE teacher won series 7! She has showcased her talent on plenty of different TV shows, and also dabbled in non-baking shows including Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Mastermind.

Edd Kimber

The first ever winner of Bake Off has gone on to do amazing things in his career! You’ll find his recipes in culinary magazines, BBC Good Food and his own blog ‘The Boy Who Bakes’. He has written a wide range of cake making and baking books, and he’s even appeared as a resident chef on The Alan Titchmarsh Show and as a regular guest on Sunday Brunch.

Rahul Mandal

Rahul is definitely a huge fan-favourite, known for his humble attitude and his natural baking abilities. He even ended up winning series 9! He has since then been a columnist for The Times, and you can catch him cooking on This Morning from time to time.

Nadiya Hussain

Last but not least… Nadiya is probably the most popular and well-known Bake Off contestant, and with very good reason! She’s published a range of cooking books, children’s books, novels and her ownautobiography. She’s also an editor for BBC Good Food, has several Netflix specials, baked Queen Elizabeth II’s 90th birthday cake and received an MBE. Wow!
